A gigantic horde of

ferrets, water-rats, Flitchaye, pine-martens, polecats,
wildcats, snakes, searats, pirates, corsairs,
Rapscallions, toads, lizards, and their friends the
ravens, crows, and seagulls have come to Redwall Abbey.
They know the legend of Redwall and that no army of
vermin has ever captured it. They are determined to
finally sieze the Abbey we all love. Our friends, the
sparrows, have sent for Salamandastron's help and
Guosim's too. They have also called the hawks from the
North, archenemies with the ravens and crows, to assist
us. While looking out of the fortified windows, it seems
as if an ocean of vermin has swept in and a tidal wave of
birds is about to drown us. DAB is eager to help when the
time comes to rid the land of all vermin. This battle
will be of epic proportions. Gonfflet has assigned you an
elite group of Dibbuns to lead in the battle in
conjurance with his own regiment and Chugger's and
Streampaw's. You know that once Salamandastron will come,
chaos will reign. It is up to the goodbeasts of
Mossflower to destroy all evil in the land. Good luck. (Since this is total war, I will

A strange hare
showed up at the gates of Redwall last night. He has grey
hair which he claims is from old age. He carries a big
spear and says he's from Salamandastrom. Gonfflet took
one look at that hare and got a group of dibbuns to spy
on him. When they found out that the so called hare
didn't like tea or pastries we knew something was wrong.
So one night a small group of dibbuns snuck into his
room. But one dibbun tripped and woke up the hare. The
hare sat up and he wasn't a hare he was a stinky rat! The
group escaped and told Mother Mellus but she didn't

A mysterious snake
disguised as a large grass snake has slithered into
Redwall Abbey. It has a special layer of poisoned mucus
covering it so that it slithers as fast as a hawk dives.
Its fangs are not only lethal when they bite, but the
snake can also squirt its poison with deadly accuracy.
This snake, which claims to be called Serpentilus, has
already killed the Friar, the Abbot, many gaurds, and has
terribly maimed the Badger Mother so badly that our only
local badger is lying in a feverish dream, half in and
half out. She is close to death. Serpentilus has said he
will kill more unless the Abbey will be given to him.
Obviously the goodbeasts of Redwall refused to give away
their Abbey, so Serpentilus is on the killing streak.
Gonfflet has assigned you as an assassin to kill this
strange snake. Beware of its mucus, speed, and its
poison, as one squirt, bite, or touch will kill you
immediately. Kill this snake at all costs. |

A strange phantom
spirit has entered Mossflower. It claims to be a great
dead vermin warrior as skilled as Martin the Warrior,
Matthias, Mattimeo, and all the Abbey Champions. It was
once a rat who wielded a double-bladed sword. It had
killed as many goodbeasts as Martin, and is as evil as
the Abbot is good. Maybe even more. He creeps into
Abbeybeasts' dreams and kills them in their sleep.
Everyone is afraid of this unbeatable vermin, since bad
luck is coming at full sweep. Disease and spoiling food
is everywhere, and the sun has been blocked out by a
black cloud. The tapestry of Martin the Warrior is
starting to partly bleach, fade, and tear. The two
warrior spirits are fighting. One day you see a trickle
of blood on the picture of Martin. You quickly take a
sleeping potion and fall asleep so as to kill this beast.
Tell of how you enter the bleak world beyond Dark Forest

leader named Tailblade. Each of them carries a Marlfox
axe, a pike, and a cutlass as weapons. Two of the rats

Using torture, they get information of the Abbey out of
you. One night you overhear them talking about getting
their friends the crows from the north, and the lizards
from the west to come and help them take over the Abbey.
Tailblade brings you into his tent, but suddenly a stoat
named Yurag walks over to his leader. He says that he can
get a horde of vermin from the east to help, but it will
cost the fox quite a sum. The fox pays, and Yurag takes
off to bring help. You must escape the camp with
Tailblade himself as guard, and either alert the Abbey

Make, Get, and Do a Mission

Mission #1
by: Dandy
- Dandy had to
have a bath. It felt as if Mother Mellus was scrubbing her hide
clean off. The soap and suds got in her eyes, and Dandy wanted no
more of it. She started splashing the badger mother with the warm
soapy water. It got in Mellus's eyes, making her unable to see
for a moment. Dandy jumped out of the tub and ran out of the
room. Mother Mellus didn't see the little mouse escape, so she
grabbed at a pile of suds. Then realization struck the badger
that the Dibbun had ran away. Dandy was panic-stricken. Nothing
was worse than an angry badger mother! Dandy ran out to the
orchard. She saw all her friends playing in the sun. She climbed
up into an apple tree. Dandy saw Mother Mellus looking for her.
The little Dibbun plucked off an apple and began gnawing on it.
CRUNCH-CRUNCH-CRUNCH. Mellus heard
the crunching sounds and looked up into the tree. Dandy screamed,
threw down the apple, jumped out of the tree and ran out of
sight. The badger mother chased Dandy around the orchard, but
lost her. Dandy went inside, and feeling hungry, looked into the
kitchens. The Friar was there with other grown-ups cooking lunch.
Delicous aromas swirled around the Dibbun. She reached for an oat
scone that was cooling on the counter, and grabbed a handful of
candied chestnuts. The Friar just turned around when Dandy crept
away from the kitchens. He saw the bowl of candied chestnuts
empty and one out of three oat scones missing. He began
yelling: "There is a
thief! One of my beautiful scones is missing! Catch the
culprit!" He saw Dandy gaping at the Friar. He began
pointing to the young mischief maker and screaming, "There
she is! Get her!" Dandy saw it wasn't a good time to be
staring at a mad Friar. She dashed out and saw more trouble
happening! Mother Mellus was talking to the Friar! Immediately
the poor Dibbun ran as fast as she could. Mellus and the Friar
were chasing
her. There was only one place
where she wouldn't get caught: in the cellars. Dandy gollumphed
down the stairs and saw a couple other Dibbuns including her
buddies Creampuff, Arven, and Tammo. Gabriel Quill, the
cellarkeeper, was working on some ale. He laughed at Dandy when
she ate the candied chestnuts and the scone. Dandy told her
friends what had happened. After she finished her her stolen
lunch, she drank some dandelion and
burlock cordial. Then there was a
knock on the cellar door. Mother Mellus's hoarse voice called
out, "Dandy! You come out there right this instant!"
Dandy had climbed into an empty barrel. Creampuff began yelling.
"No Dandy here right now!" However, Gabriel knew Dandy
was hiding, but didn't know what barrel she was hiding in.
He let Mother Mellus in his cellers. They began searching the
barrels for Dandy. They couldn't find her. Finally, Mellus found
a candied chestnut next to a barrel. She lifted up the top, and
caught the Dibbun! Poor Dandy was pulled kicking and screaming
out of the cellars. Poor Dandy had her ears and hide scrubbed
once again and was sent to bed! A few hours later she had to
apoligize to the Friar for taking the scone, but she was allowed
to make strawberry cordial with Gabriel Quill. A happy ending at
last!
Mission #7
by: Dandy
- It was a
beautiful morning, and Dandy escaped the walls of the Abbey, and
was running around in the grass enjoying freedom by herself,
until she heard a sound in the ditch. She looked in, and saw tons
of rats laying low. She heard them talking about how they would
take over Redwall at evening, and how they would have the Abbey
dwellers as slaves. One rat noticed that Dandy was snooping on
their conversation. He began chasing the Dibbun, and almost
caught her, but she quickly got inside the gate and locked it
behind her. Dandy immediately told Mother Mellus. The badger
mother didn't believe Dandy. However, the little Dibbun crept
down to the cellars to talk to her friends. They believed her as
good friends should. Everyone was mortified about the rats, so
all the Dibbuns prepared the weapons. Meanwhile, the elders saw
the rats pouring out of the ditch to get ready for their attack.
All the grown-ups panicked when they saw them, and ordered
everyone off the wall because there were sling-throwers and
archers. When Dandy and her little "army" tried to get
on the wall, they could not. All of the elders just stayed in
their rooms thinking. Meanwhile, the rats were trying to climb up
the wall. The Dibbuns escaped from the abbey easily by using the
east gate. They saw all the rats climbing up, and so, despite the
elders' warnings, they went back inside the Abbey, took vegetable
knives from the kitchen, and went on top of the wall. There
were climbing ropes attached to the top of the wall, so the
little Dibbuns yelled their warcry: "Dibbun Power!",
and cut all the ropes with the vegetable knives. The rats came
tumbling to the ground, and the Dibbuns cheered. Leaving a small
group of archers and sling throwers, the Dibbuns put the
vegetable knives back in the kitchen, and went up to the
infirmary to see what to put on the blow darts. Dandy looked into
the cupboards, and found a bottle of sleep medicine. One shot of
it was supposed to put the patient immediately in deep sleep for
a few hours. The Dibbuns with blowguns, dipped their darts in the
medicine, got the archers and slingthrowers off the wall, and
snuck outside. Rats were crawling all over the place! The
archers, blow guns, and sling throwers stayed in the bushes,
while everyone else ran out hacking with their weapons. Dandy
could see that this would not work, because the rats were a lot
stronger with their sharp weapons, so she called everyone to hide
in the bushes like the archers. She had a little meeting. She
explained why the strategy they were using wouldn't work.
"Ye see, the wats have lot more fighters than us, an' they
are lot stronger too, so we 'ave to do somthin'! Can't
let wats take ober our h'abbey! We
don't wanna get killied off..." Right then a few rats walked
near the bushes. The sling throwers and archers were ready,
and ambushed them. They ran away screaming, wondering what had
hit them. An idea formed in
Dandy's mind. Ambushing would work! The little Dibbun assigned
everyone in the bushes while a couple squirrels would torment the
rats. When everyone was posted in their places, Dandy gave the
signal to the squirrels to start moving. Arven went over to a
large group of rats and mocked, "Why hewwo watties! Me bet
you don't know anything cause your wats! Stoopid wats! Nanny
nanny boo boo! I guess you guys gan't getchme cause you so dumb!
Come one lazy bumms try to catchme! I'm just likkle an anyone can
getchme except you stoopid wats!" The rats started chasing
the little squirrel, but he just leaded the rats into the ambush.
Tons of little dibbun were wacking
at them with their sticks and ladles. The vermin screamed and ran
out of sight. The other groups were just as successful. There
were only a few rats left, and those, the little Dibbuns just
dealt with. All the rats had finally ran away and never came
back.
All the dibbuns had a few cuts and scratches. No one was really
injured, but there was only one problem left: explaining the
whole thing to Mother Mellus. The little animals were so happy,
that they were singing and cheering when they went back inside
the Abbey. They attracted a LOT of grown-up attention. Dandy was
the one who had to explain. She told the truth, but a little
over-exagerated. The grown-ups finally saw that the little
"warriors" had saved the day! -

Mission #2
by: Rockjaw
-
Rockjaw had been caught throwing food and was in the
infirmary. He looked out the window and pretended to see a Dibbun
fall out of a tree. He spun around and told Brother Hollyberry
that a Dibbun had fallen out of a tree and crying.
When Hollyberry ran out of the
room the little hare snuck out the door. When he heard someone
coming he ran into the nearest dormitory and hid under the bed.
After the footsteps he continued on his way stopping whenever he
heard pawsteps. He made it down to Great Hall. He was crossing it
when he heard Brother Hal's voice. He also heard Hollyberry's.
Thinking quickly he crawled under the table and started crawling
for the door. When he got to the end of the table he saw
his friend Dumble. Dumble seemed to understand and ran to get DAB. Rockjaw
suddenly made a dash for the door. Hal happened to see him and
made chase but when he got to the door he was met with a group of
DAB, led by Dumble. Another group of DAB made a
distraction so Rockjaw escaped by the little east gate.
In Mossflower he heard a searat
saying they were going to take over the abbey. He rushed back and
reported to the Abbess. The Abbey dwellers were able to give the
searats a warm welcome and Rockjaw was made hero of the day.

Mission #6
by: Cale-Bushwacker
-
After doing my daily chores (collecting chestnuts), I started to
feel hungry and sneaked into the kitchen. I suddenly saw one of
my friends with a bag of candied chestnuts. I knew my friend was
tough and it would be difficult to get it away from him. So I
went under a big table and started to plan a sneak attack on my
friend. It took me 10 minutes to think up a strategy. Then I got
it. Since he was almost twice my size I could sneak up behind him
go through his legs and dart up in front of him. Yes, that would
be the perfect plan! Oh, wait, no, when I dart up he could just
grab me. When I was thinking up another plan I saw him go out of
the kitchen. I decided to follow him. I got there just in time to
see him snore away. I knew that if something touches him he comes
awake immediately. But this gave more time to think it took me
another 10 minutes to think up another plan. Think, think, think.
Now I got it. When he wakes up he will have to do chores in the
kitchen. I will climb up some shelves and swing from the
chandelier and grab them. Easy! So I went under the same table
and waited for my prey. I just about fell asleep when he walked
in the room. This was my big chance. I climbed up the shelves and
swung from the chandelier. I landed right on the counter beside
the chestnuts. I grabbed them and opened the stairway door,
jumped on the railing and slid down. My friend was right behind
me. When he slid down, the railings broke and he fell down. Now I
was in the cellars with tons of barrels. I jumped on one and saw
my friend try to push the barrel down. I looked up and saw a rope
going up a hatch in the roof. I climbed up the rope and some of
my other friends helped me up. I was now outside. Creampuff,
Smallpaw, and I ran to a tree, climbed it, and almost all the
other DAB members congratulated me and I shared my candied
chestnuts with them. -

Mission #9
by: Spring
-
"I wanna go to Salamandackyron too! I'm brave and, I uh,
will take up less room the those shrews! I can swim better
too, so there! They'll trip their own boat over and drown.
And I coulda gone and saved everyone," I argued. No
one was convinced. The Abbot, Mother Badger, Abbey Warrior,
Guosim shrews, and other Abbey elders looked at me funny, like I
was crazy or sumthing. (Well, they always look at me like
that, but more than usual this time.)
"I think we can
manage without your help, Spring, believe it or not,"
Log-a-log broke the silence. Then everyone had the nerve to
laugh! I knew they couldn't be laughing at me, so they must be
laughing at Log-a-log. I wasn't allowed to do that!
But Log-a-log was laughing too. . .
Weird.
I sorta figured I wasn't
supposed to go, but I was going anyway. I marched out of
Cavern Hole to plan.
The next moring I was
ready. I got up early and hid by the east gate. I
sneaked out iwht them, easy as can be. Following them was
harder. They marched fast so they could get to the river by
sundown. But I'm fast too, and sly, nobody saw me?
Oh, nobody! We camped by the river that night. I had
brought food, but it disappeared that day. Don't aks me
where it went. I just nibbled a little to keep my energy
level up. So, anyway, I uh, borrowed some food from the
rations bag, easy enough.
When everyone was asleep,
I climbed in a bag on one of those funny boats, and fell fast
asleep.
Way too early in the
morning, I was awackened by the shrews song:
"Pull, boys, pull!
O, we're the sons of the roarin' shrews. . ."
Did they have to sing so
loud, so early? And where was the grub?
"So, you're finally
awake? You snore like a dormouse." The Abbey
Warrior's voice came from behind me.
"Yeep!" I
jumped. How could he have found me?
As if reading my
thoughts,he said, "I found out an hour after we
started. The Badger Mother is not going to be
pleased," he frowned.
I knew I was in big
trouble.
